What is MOPS & MOMSnext?

MOPS OF MACON/FORSYTH
What is MOPS?
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. Here at MOPS we are on a mission to celebrate motherhood. We build circles of women who love each other like family, because raising humans is beautiful and hard, and having each other to lean on is life-giving. That’s why we connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own cities, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of being a mom. This is motherhood, and together we can change the world in the best ways.
The mission of MOPS of Macon/Forsyth is to be an open and supportive fellowship that exemplifies Christ’s love through instruction, nurture, service and outreach to mothers of preschoolers for the glory of Jesus Christ.
Who can be in MOPS?
MOPS is open to ANY mother of children, birth through kindergarten.
What is MOMSnext?
When we’re past the diaper years and sleeping through the night . . .
When we’re meeting more emotional needs than physical ones . . .
When we’re caught between our children needing us and not . . .
It’s time for MOMSnext. MOMSnext meets in conjunction with MOPS.
Who can be in MOMSnext?
MOMSnext is open to every mother of school-age children (1st through 12th grades). (We refer to both groups as MOPS.)
Basically, every mother has a place and is welcome in MOPS.
When and where does MOPS/MOMSnext meet?
Meetings are generally held on the second Friday of the month (September through May) from 9:15 AM to 11:45 AM. See our calendar tab for variations in dates. All meetings are held at New Providence Baptist Church of Smarr in Forsyth, Georgia in their worship center.
