Currently we must require that all moms utilizing childcare serve in MOPPETS as extra help. Until we have enough volunteers from the community, we will have to supplement during our meetings. We want to assure every mom that their child is well taken care of during our MOPS meetings, so we need to have plenty of help.
The MOPPETS Mom volunteer list will be at the registration table where you sign in, outside the CLC. Please voluntarily sign up for your slot(s). We will call you for your preference if you do not choose a time slot on your own.
You have the option of working one full meeting or two half-meetings. If you are unable to make it for MOPPETS duty, please make your own arrangements for someone to fill in for you.
If you change dates with someone, please contact the MOPPETS Administrator so she can keep track. If you "no-show" you will still be responsible for serving another time slot.
Things to Know When Working in MOPPETS:
Deliha Payne is the nursery director at Martha Bowman MUMC. Please see her if you need anything while you are in the nursery.
Sign in when you report to MOPPETS so we know you have worked.
Pay close attention to allergies. Check class list and name tags.
Make sure child has a name tag before mother leaves.
Check name/security tag from moms BEFORE you release any child.
Toys that have been chewed on by child should be placed into the dirty toy basket in the room.
Quickly change dirty diapers. Wash hands or use hand sanitizer.
Smocks are available upon request.
Keep your eyes on the children. Play and interact with them as you would play with your own children.
Help clean up the room before moms arrive to pick up their children.
