MOPPETS Guidelines:

  • Reservations: It is required that all moms make a MOPPETS reservation for their child's at least 48 hours prior to the event. Please do this by either emailing your reservation to MOPPETS Administrator  or leaving a voicemail at 477- 4188 ext. 404. You may leave a message at any time of the day with your name, your child's name and age, and your phone number. If you do not receive a call back, you have a reservation. Limited space is available.
  • If necessary, please cancel nursery reservations as soon as possible by leaving a voicemail at the same number.  If you need to you need to cancel as late as the night before or the morning of the event, please call the MOPPETS Administrator.  Our no-show policy states that if you do not come to a meeting that you made a MOPPETS reservation for, and you do not cancel your child's reservation at lease one hour prior to the event, your are considered a no-show.  After the 2nd no-show, you are put on waiting list only status for MOPPETS reservations.  We would call you the night before the meeting if we had an opening for your child in MOPPETS.
  • Bring  a change of clothes for your children (including socks) and at least 3 diapers if your child is not potty trained. Label ALL items in this bag, including bottels and cups.
  • PLEASE refrain from "checking in on" children as much as possible during the meeting. Children, yours and others, are often upset when they see people come and go in the nursery area. Moms will be notified immediately if needed.
  • Beepers are available upon request and we encourage moms who are nursing or mothers of infants to take one.

DROP OFF:

  • Please sign children in at the table located in the main entry to the nursery area between 9:00 and 9:15 AM.  Make sure to note any special needs or allergies on registration forms and verbally alert child’s teacher at each meeting.   MOPS meetings begin promptly at 9:15 AM.
  • Take child to designated room and make sure they receive a nametag.  The MOPPET teacher and volunteers will help your child feel comfortable.  Be assured that you will be notified if your child cries more than 10 minutes.
  • Obtain a security tag/band for every child you check-in.  Keep this with you at all times.  The security tag/band allows you to pick-up your child from his or her classroom.

PICK-UP:

  • Please pick up your children from their classrooms promptly at the end of each meeting. Some of our teachers and volunteers will need to pick up children of their own from preschools at 12:00 PM.
  • When you arrive to pick up your child, you will be asked to show the teacher your sercurity tag/band. They will then cross-reference this information with that on the child’s badge. We understand that some of you are familiar with several of the workers and/or volunteers. Please respect that our policy for pick-ups must be followed by ALL moms. The system is more effective when it is repeated for everyone. The nursery staff would appreciate your patience during the pick-up procedure.
  • Please take note that half of the nursery staff are volunteers. We ask that you make every effort to make them feel appreciated. Kindly thank them at the end of every meeting.

  • has had a fever within the last 24 hours
